GPT-3 has generated lots of buzz and attention from the machine learning and AI research communities and diverse opinions about the capabilities of the model. One camp would say that the text created by the model is impossible to distinguish from a human-generated text. Another camp argues that the model is overhyped and it’s still a long way to go to a truly generalized AI.
We decided to look at the real-world application of the GPT-3 model. In our Bugout.dev meetup our speaker, Artem Rodichev, Head of AI at Replika (an OpenAI partner) shared how his team is using the GPT-3 model in production for the conversational AI that serves millions of users around the world and supports conversations on general topics.
